Republican lawmakers in Texas are in the midst of leading an aggressive redistricting effort by trying to pass a redrawn Congressional map that would help them potentially flip five seats in the House. Democrats in the state’s House have since fled the Lone Star state to avoid a quorum needed to pass the redistricting bill.
